1. How easy will it be for Multichoice to get HD content? For example, series they currently show, that also show in HD around the world, do you get it “free” when you buy the program for syndication in South Africa? So you could easily have a HD channel, like you have a load-shed channel, that reruns the shows in HD later?

2. What bitrates are the HD channels going to be run at? We’re using h264 compression here, like they do in eu, so are we planning to run it at that kind of bitrate? Comcast in USA has recently lowered the bitrate on their (mpeg2) channels to fit more on, and it looks terrible, hopefully Multichoice won’t have to resort to that.

3. If the media reports are right, Multichoice are going for a customized Pace TDS850 PVR, I cant find much technical info on this – is it comparable to other 1st world decoders, ie. 1080p, etc? If so, are there any plans of Multichoice doing any 1080p content at any point, after 720p has been tried and tested?

4. Expected price of the aforementioned HDTV PVR?

5. Who do I email to get into some kind of beta programme?
