You don’t pull the wool over my eyes, Mr. Dingle. You’ve decided that there’s an opportunity in supplying AV troubleshooting to events, and you’ve decided to use the last several weeks of the ZA Tech Show as your resume’! Admit it, come clean.

Here’s my dream sequence about interconnection rates in SA. The CXOs of MTN and Vodacom are summoned to a meeting with the regulator, and when they arrive they find the ICASA seats are filled instead by people from the FCC, or OFCOM. “Welcome, folks, thanks for coming. We recieved your submission proposing an all-time rate of 90 rand cents…” Then two solid minutes of stony silence, as the regulators allow the mobile guys time to mentally bury that idea under six feet of psychic earth. “Now then, we were quite interested by this amicus brief we received from Cell-C. They indicate that they can make a profitable service to under-served regions on 6 rand cents a minute. So tell us- do you think the number can go any lower than that, and if so, how far?”

I was also greatly interested to hear the sword-fighting in Wii Resort was cool. I’ve had my eye on the Legend of Zorro game which is now used, but evidently it got completely panned specifically for the fencing, which left me crestfallen.
