Find out in this exciting episode, wherein Jon ‘Federa’ Tullett, Brett ‘Shiny-guy’ Haggard, Ben ‘Ace’ Kelly, Duncan ‘Laugh-a-minute’ McLeod and Toby ‘Mister’ Shapshak discuss:

  • The big gaming announcements from E3.

I’m deeply offended that you ran out of bleeps. An adequate supply of paper clips, rubber bands and bleeps is the least I expect from a professional tech show.

OMG! Mankini’s, 10 inches, palms, and a broken Duncan… it can never get better! I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to listen to the ZATech show again, only because all others after this will fade in comparison!

Reacting from Puritanical America, I must express the contrary opinion. I am deeply shocked and offended at the proliferation of profanity on the show, and must assume that Mr. Dingle has deliberately withheld his beep (which in itself is explicitly forbidden by the Good Book) in order to let you all suffer the righteous wrath of the Internet for your heterodox sins of expression. Next week I call for a return to right-speaking; melt down the golden curse words and come back to the fold! The only alternative will be the wrath of the internet gods.
I might even have to drop a word to ICASA about this language… or would it be more effective to contact COSATU?

Separate issue- I used Google Square on a lark, searching for a favorite topic “great generals”. The first four results were not what I’d call encouraging:
Alexander the Great
Pompey
Seleucus I Nicator
Antigonus I

The first entry deserves to be first in anyone’s reckoning, the second is an under-rated member of the Top 20 (perhaps top 10) and the next two are nowhere to be found in the annals of military history. The list is clearly going for “kings” with an ancient bias which is fine, but… Napolean? Rommel? Belisarius, Jan Hus? Scipio Africanus? Hannibal? Kublai Khan? I searched three more sub-menus of five entries each, and got no hits that seemed vaguely appropriate.

I cannot hear Mr Shapshak speak :( His mic volume is really soft!
