Nintendo ships 100 millionth DS
Nintendo claims to have shipped the 100 millionth Nintendo DS globally. Since the original Nintendo DS launched in early 2005 in Europe, its dual screens, touch-screen and voice-recognition capabilities have introduced a new generation of gaming. The franchise really took off, however, with the introduction of the DS Lite, a smaller, more compact version of the console.
The DS has enjoyed success in the South African market since its official introduction last year and new titles have been announced for the coming month. Continue reading
